These are the most widely used and traditional bricks, made from locally sourced clay, molded by hand or machine, and then fired in kilns. They are known for their durability and strength and are typically red in color. Machine-made Bangladeshi bricks are also increasingly available, offering more consistent size and quality.
These are well-burnt, have a uniform dark reddish color and size, and produce a clear metallic sound when struck together. They have a water absorption capacity of not more than 15% of their dry weight after 24 hours. These are used for high-quality masonry work.
